Before installing OCR Xpress for Linux, make sure your computer system meets the minimum requirements detailed in this section:

64-bit Intel-based platform
LIBC 2.5 or greater
GCC 4.2 or greater
Java Runtime Environment: Oracle Java SE 1.6.0.23 or later (to run License Manager and Server Licensing Utility)

OCR Xpress for Linux has been tested on the following operating system(s):

OCR Xpress for Linux should also run on other Linux distributions, as long as they fully satisfy the requirements listed in this section.
